Philosophy Wire: Greek Orthodox, USA, EU, Islamists…

7B5715C82E7B1B88112E247A7B833A6BPhilosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2013-04-24]:

One Greek Orthodox and one Syriac Orthodox archbishop abducted in Syria. [1] While some people are fighting for their faith, others (USA, EU) are fighting for their right to rule the world. Remember this day when "civilized" countries support Islamist terrorists...

Philosophy Wire: Geomechanics, chemtrails, SKYGUARDS, equilibrium...

slide-1-638Philosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2013-04-17]: European Parliament voted against large scale geo-engineering. [1, 2 (paragraph 90), 3, 4, 5] A conference from SKYGUARDS regarding chemtrails, aerial spraying and HAARP [6] completes the picture of a more conscious and alert EU regarding geoengineering intervention as a whole. Little gods, put your plans on hold. EU will not hold for ever. We are destined to destroy our selves... It is the only way for Nature to reach equilibrium...

Philosophy Wire: Are you poor? Eat horse and shut up!

1733B7C3203498F1720E5989188F50B9Philosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2013-02-23]: Germany's development minister has suggested food tainted with horsemeat should be distributed to the poor.Dirk Niebel said he supported the proposal by a member of the governing CDU party, and concluded: "We can't just throw away good food".  [source: BBC News] Instead of fighting the problems, politicians want to avoid them. Instead of helping their citizens, they just want to help their friends. With all worthy people already leaving Europe or not having the time to do anything else but work, politics in Europe has become a means to promote stupidity, mediocrity and cunningness...

Philosophy Wire: EU, Greece and the known parasites… (England, Sweden)

FDC35D153FDA4B1E6CD712BEEA993B91Philosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2012-12-14]: A new centralized supervision of Eurozone banks is agreed upon. And UK and Sweden are the first to announce that they do not want (and will not) to be part of it.[source: web news, BBC News] UK and Sweden are once again mentioned in a post with the “hypocrisy” tag. They want to be in the EU but not when it comes to them making sacrifices. EU was based on the vision of some politicians who did not have money in their mind. And it is very difficult to find successors of De Gaulle (who had stalled UK as long as he could before accepting her the to the Union) in an era where people think highly of countries like Holland and feel contempt for countries like Greece…

PS. Yes. A country is NOT only its economy!

Philosophy Wire: nEUROn. A dog that barks…

Neuron1Philosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2012-12-06]: The first European UCAV made its maiden flight.  [source: web news] Too much advertisement for nothing. US is already using UCAV in its Secret Services (RQ-170 Sentinel) and in its Navy (X-47B) without announcing it as idiots. A dog that barks a lot…

Philosophy Wire: Moody’s, Goodys, Troodys…

i591db466adda26d4b4bf74ab1299ace2_moodys.nPhilosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2012-12-02]: Moody’s Investors Service downgraded the European Stability Mechanism and the European Financial Stability Facility EFSF. [source: Businessweek] When will European leaders stop being so chickens and sue US-affiliate companies like Moody’s, which think they can dictate the future of entire continents?

Philosophy Wire: European Courts, UCK and why Justice = Politics.

79383681550b75872dffa3294798281_MidColPhilosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2012-11-29]: A UN war crimes court, the International criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, acquitted Ramus Haradinaj, former Kosovan prime minister and member of the Kosovo Liberation Army (UCK), of war crimes committed during Kosovo's independence war (1998-1999) after a retrial in The Hague. Serbia reacted intensively, protesting for the Court being prejudiced against her. [source: web news] Once again, an international court shows how Justice is a synonym of Politics… Φεῦ ὦ Εὐρώπη!

Philosophy Wire: Politics–All it takes is common sense…

43DE4B148742D24FACE02DD03730B097_thumb[1]Philosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2012-06-13]: European ministers have agreed upon persuading their fishermen not to throw into the sea the fish they accidentally catch – a practice which leads thousands of tons of fish to be dumped every year [source: web news]. Do not throw away the fish you fish. A rule which is indeed too difficult to think if, has been at last mastered by the EU and its leaders…

Philosophy Wire: Netherlands and the Ghost of Capitalism

capitalism_firm_grip_on_wheelPhilosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2012-04-23]: The Netherlands has economical problems. The “queen” of capitalism is facing the results of the null economical system called capitalism: borrowing money –> make more money –> borrow even more money –> et cetera in order to make even more (virtual) money and die extremely… rich! Philosophy Wire: What is EU? A big Interest Rate!

474977C8959C7BB823A74EC61C21DD62Philosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2012-04-05]: Sarkozy announced that he will freeze the contribution of France to the EU budget [source: web news]. That’s it! Everything in the hope of better interest rates! Let’s all celebrate our new bright future where everything is measured in terms of money! Viva la Economy!

Philosophy Wire: Greece - EU = Gauls - Romans?

phpOhM5PuAMPhilosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2012-02-12]: Greece is ready to vote new measures. As if we have implemented the previous measures we votes… EU is afraid of what will happen if we do not vote the measures. As if they did anything for not implementing the previous measures… The Gaul village of Asterix, Obelix and all the other crazy Gauls is the best simile for Greece. And the (even crazier) Romans who can never catch the Gauls is the best simile for EU… All in all, very good stuff for a new comic…

Philosophy Wire: EU, NEOShield and the doomed world

_58000766_58000765Philosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2012-01-22]: NEOShield, which will assess Earth’s defense against extraterrestrial objects heading towards our planet,  had its kick-off meeting this week [source: BBC News]. If the world bases its hopes for salvation on the “resilient” EU which cannot even decide on simple “earthly” matters, then we are more than doomed… Meteors will not wait for Merkel…

Philosophy Wire: Fuck off EU! (unless we make profits from it, says Holland…)

FDD32E0066888AEC63E0C3E3B0319882Philosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2011-11-11]: Holland’s far right party (which is part of the current government) asks for an investigation of the benefits Holland will have if it will abandon the Eurozone [source: web news]. It seems that no-one in the Europe actually wants EU. All member states which have been in its forefront, wanted EU only because it produced profits for them. No political will there. No romantic ideology to have all “Europe united”. All they saw was a large market. Just money. And now that problems make those profits diminish, everyone from Holland to Germany talk about leaving…. As simple as that.

Philosophy Wire: Sarkozy, Greece and the need for great leaders

111028050309-sarkozy-story-topPhilosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2011-10-29]: Sarkozy said that the acceptance of Greece in EU was a mistake [source: CNN News]. The easiest thing is to blame others for your own faults. This is what unfortunately Greece does recently. And this is what Sarkozy does by making this statements. A great leader would take full control and manage the crisis. A small politician would just blame others and look the crisis overtake him…

Philosophy Wire: Libya, Saudi Arabia and the hypocricy of the West

Philosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2011-03-19]: Europe and the USA are ready to take military action against Gadhafi, trying once more to impose their will on a foreign sovereign country. At the same time, USA and their allies are supporting Saudi Arabia and asking her to increase its oil production in order to fill in the gap that the reduction in Libya oil production has left. The fact that Saudi Arabia is a despotical regime that has sent thousands of troops to the neighboring Bahrain in order to suppress protests there, is something that plays no role at all...

Philosophy Wire: Crucifix, schools and the oppression of "I believe in nothing"

Philosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2011-03-18]: The European Court of Human Rights overruled a previous decision and decided that the existence of the crucifix symbol in the schools of Italy does not constitute a violation of the European conventions for religious freedom [sources: 1, 2, Press release of the European Court]. Which kid is really "turned into a christian" from the mere existence of a crucifix? Atheists feel their "freedom" is insulted from the mere existence of the symbols in which others believe. But what should we do then? Eliminate ALL symbols from common sight so as to be compatible with the "beliefs to nothing" of some people?

Philosophy Wire: Dead in Libya reach 200 and E.U. is defeaning silent...

Philosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2011-02-21] With the dead count in Libya reaching 200, the silence of the EU is deafening... Business with the Libyan leader in the energy sector are too important to leave room for European "leaders" to show their support for civilians who are indiscriminately shot by the security groups of the North African country. If there was even one dead in riots in Bangladesh, the "mighty"-weak-EU would now be screaming against violence... Politics has to do with people. Who this people are, depends on how much money they give you...

Philosophy Wire: The lack of government in Belgium, EU and the meaning of "whole"

Philosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2011-02-03]: The King of Belgium asked from the caretaker government to submit a state budget, something well beyond the normal duties of such a government. Belgium political parties have not been able to form a viable government for 236 days now, because of a conflict between the two main ethnic groups of the country. The european country is now that close from breaking the record of lack of government (anarchy?), which is held by Iraq (still only 52 days to go) ... [Source: web news] EU never had strong leadership and what happens in the heart simply reveals the disease from which the whole body suffers. Deep chasms separate its countries and segments. And a body can not live without heart, without a common vision, with no harmony ... A set cannot be based only on money and on a common monetary policy. There are more vital things in life and EU has terrible performance as far as these are concerned... U.S. is a superpower because of the faith its people have in the whole and not due to the small deficit. But Europeans prefer to play with numbers that to look at things that really matter...

Philosophy Wire: The EU, Albania and the failure of the phenomena to hide “Reality”

Philosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2011-01-26]: The EU, via an emissary, sent a strong message to the Albanian prime minister to do anything required in order to make the riots in the country calm down. [source: web news] Nice joke… The EU which cannot even control the financial data of a country, tries to implement “harsh policy” over a state that is not even a member. The lack of will for action can never be covered by bold words. Phenomena, despite the fact that they are the main subject of philosophy and science, can never hide the “Reality” which lies behind it…

Philosophy Wire: Are Red tuna quotas Ecology?

Philosophy Wire: 2010-11-22 A meeting of representatives from the 27 members states is underway in Brussels to decide on the negotiations mandate that the EU Council is to give to the European Commission to be able to negotiate 2011-213 red tuna quotas at the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tuna (ICCAT), which began a closed-door meeting yesterday in Paris [Source: http://www.ansamed.info/en/francia/news/ME.XEF90465.html]. Is that ecology? Or economic policy for the expensive red tunas commodity? Who really believes that the 27 want to protect the tuna due to ecological sensitivity? The leaders of Euro and of "cut all social benefits and kill people in order to improve the economies" have suddently read Levi Strauss and started caring about the... tuna fish? No. Unfortunately in todays society where everything is measured with Euro, only the "expensive" species have a chance to survive...
