Philosophy Wire: Two feet animal standing, climber... (?)

Philosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2013-05-29]: A new study by archaeologists at the University of York challenges evolutionary theories behind the development of our earliest ancestors from tree dwelling quadrupeds to upright bipeds capable of walking and scrambling. The researchers say our upright gait may have its origins in the rugged landscape of East and South Africa which was shaped during the Pliocene epoch by volcanoes and shifting tectonic plates. [1]

At the end it may all come down to what we want to believe for our selves.
Are we climbers? Or Philosophers?

Philosophy Wire: Stolen moon samples, materialism, romanticism…

Moon_2079572bPhilosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2011-12-09]: Most of the Moon samples that NASA has loaned to researchers or museums have been “lost” [source: web news]. Having in your possession a rock or some sand from the Moon is certainly tempting. Others would suffice with watching the Moon at night with their loved ones. Who of the two is more stupid is obvious (but I will not tell you who it is)…
