[1] The plight of science is incredible. It wants research to see the obvious (that parents should love their children) and it mocks anyone saying the same for thousands of years (religion). We live in dark times. Where people believe that happiness can be measured "scientifically." We have forgotten to cherish our children and if we do, we do so because a "research" says so. We live in dark times... Stay silent for a while. Until the sun comes out again...

No, I am not saying that gay people should not have rights. I am saying they should not have the right to raise children as if they were "normal" - when it is obvious they are not.
No, I am not saying to allow racism. I am saying to stop seeing Nazi symbols everywhere by turning upside down/ right/ left any image we see only in order to look more "democratic".
And yes, I do say that we should not fuck other women when we are with another woman.

It seems simple. But "progressive" people have the tendency of making simple things complicated...
It is very hard to be considered one of the most progressive states in the world. You are somehow forced to have "progress" in every field of life, even there where the right decisions have already been made. Change is considered "progress" even if it is change to something worse. Being static is considered "bad". You want to move so that noone considers you "regressive". But you ignore the possibility that you may have already reached the right place.

"Newer is better".
"Modern is wiser".
"The old ones did not know".

Men with a childish way of thinking. Ruling nations...

The study is indeed innovative. However ancient Greeks were once more ahead of their time. Thousands of years ago, they believed the SAME very thing for their time: They too believed in Regression rather that Progress. They believed that that they were the “bronze” genos (Gr. γένος) which succeeded the “silver” genos which in turn succeeded the initial Gold Genos of humans. Now if ancient Greeks where the “bronze” ones, who are we? The “plastic” ? We should be. We are the first civilization who takes so much care of recycling while not producing anything of value… OR… Maybe all this is just the complex of "the old times are always better than the current we live in” type… At the end it is up to you to decide. Do you freel a lesser person than your ancestors?

Economy started as a tool, evolved to a "science" and has now become more significant than life it once used to serve. Philosophy Wire: The apple, old texts and the ancient Greeks' notion of "regression"

Philosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2011-01-04]: Apples have more genomes than any other fruit [1]. Apple also seems to be the link between ancient fruits and modern fruits: after a catastrophic event that took place about 60 million years ago, the genes of ancient apple fruit seem to have been evolved increased greatly in number in some kind of evolutionary response [2, 3, 4, 5, 6]. So now apples seem to have even more genes than humans do. I have reported the fact that humans are not the species with the largest genome in other Philosophy Wires. Some ancient religious texts refer to the apples as the "first fruit", while many other ancient myths (e.g. Greek myths) have apples as their very central theme. The interesting comment here is something contradicting the common sense: how come that ancient texts (religious or not, that does not matter) refer to knowledge that "should not" (according to mainstream history science) be part of the knowledge of their era, in agreement with very recent science findings? Ancient Greeks thought that humanity regresses, rather than progressing: they believed that their ancestors were more wise than they were and that their children will be less wise than they came to be. Could that be the case? In the old days we thought we were alive and part of nature but now we think we are mere molecules and something different than the nature we observe. Who is more wise? Which "model" is more scientific if we are to see truly the facts?
