About Harmonia Philosophica
Harmonia Philosophica is a non-commercial educational philosophy portal promoting irrationality, intuition and non-thinking as a way to solve the great metaphysical mysteries of the cosmos.
Its Chief Editor is Spiros Kakos, who has been acting as its Editor in Chief from its inception until now.
The goal of Harmonia Philosophica is to show that dogmatism, under any form, is wrong. And it is important to note that even though dogmatism had for a long time been associated with religion, things have drastically changed in the last centuries. Nowadays science has replaced religion in the throne of doctrinaire thinking and the poison of various dogmas (like materialism) has dominated human intellect to a great extent. Dogmatism in science - which holds the throne of "thinking" in modern West - is something we should all worry about.
This is not being against science per se though, since we must always remember that true science embraces all views and cultivates free thinking. Harmonia Philosophica is about merging various views and the tool for this merging of thoughts is an inherently 'irrational' way of non-thinking - a way of thinking that is against the norms that have prevailed in the western civilization for centuries now. In this portal one can read how separate opinions on crucial philosophical matters can be merged into one single "truth", if such thing even exists, within a purely 'irrational' context that the first thinkers used to utilize but that we have now forgotten. The point of every philosophy entry within the Harmonia Philosophica philosophy program is to illustrate that one-way thinking is never correct; most of the times a combination of science and religion, measurements and theoretical thinking, logic and pure intuition, thinking and non-thinking is required to draw a conclusion.
The world is inherently irrational. Only by embracing that can we ever understand what we cannot understand. If logic is based on axioms, then we must be irrational and forget those axioms if we wish to be logical without any limiting conditions.

Spyridon Kakos (a.k.a. Spiros Kakos) is a writer and thinker located in Greece. He has been writing about philosophy for many years and has been managing the Harmonia Philosophica philosophy program since its inception with extreme success.
