Philosophy Wire: Stolen doctorates. Dull era...

31603Philosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2013-02-06]:

The minister of Education in Germany was stripped off her doctorate in Philosophy due to plagiarism.

Stolen doctorates. [1] Big surprise.
I always wandered.
In a society where doctorates are increasing with geometric progression, we should have a new "Theory of Relativity"-type discovery every week...

Moon_2079572bPhilosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2011-12-09]: Most of the Moon samples that NASA has loaned to researchers or museums have been “lost” [source: web news]. Having in your possession a rock or some sand from the Moon is certainly tempting. Others would suffice with watching the Moon at night with their loved ones. Who of the two is more stupid is obvious (but I will not tell you who it is)…
