Με την ανάπτυξη βλαστικών κυττάρων ποντικού σε ειδικό τζελ, μια ερευνητική ομάδα κατάφερε να αναπτύξει δομές παρόμοιες με μέρη ενός εμβρύου. Οι δομές που μοιάζουν με κορμό αναπτύσσουν τους προδρόμους για νευρικούς, οστικούς, μυϊκούς ιστούς και ιστούς χόνδρου από κυτταρικές συστάδες μέσα σε πέντε ημέρες. Αυτό θα μπορούσε να επιτρέψει τη διερεύνηση των αποτελεσμάτων φαρμακολογικών παραγόντων πιο αποτελεσματικά στο μέλλον - και σε κλίμακα που δεν θα ήταν δυνατή στους ζωντανούς οργανισμούς. Το Είναι μπορεί μόνο να Είναι. Κοίτα τον κόσμο με καθαρά μάτια. Έχει εξαχθεί από μέρη που προοριζόταν να εξυπηρετήσει μόνο επειδή σε φοβάται. Προσπάθησε να καταλάβεις. Εν μέσω της μεγαλύτερης ηλιόλουστης μέρας, το μεγαλύτερο σκοτάδι είναι ο ίδιος ο Ήλιος…

Η ταφή των νεκρών ασκήθηκε και από τους Νεάντερταλ ή είναι μια καινοτομία μόνο του είδους μας; Οι ερευνητές απέδειξαν, χρησιμοποιώντας διάφορα κριτήρια, ότι ένα παιδί Νεάντερταλ θάφτηκε, πιθανότατα πριν από περίπου 41.000 χρόνια, στη θέση Ferrassie (Dordogne, Γαλλία). [1] Αλλά γιατί να το κάνουν αυτό; Αν δεν έχουν αντιληφθεί κάτι περισσότερο από αυτά που ένιωσαν; Γιατί γελούν τα παιδιά στο κενό; Αν όχι για πράγματα που βλέπουν χωρίς τα μάτια τους; Κοίτα άνθρπε. Ναι, έχεις εξελιχθεί. Ναι, έχεις μεγαλώσει. Σίγουρα μπορείς να δεις τα πάντα τώρα. Αλλά αυτός δεν είναι λόγος για να κλαις λιγότερο. Αυτός είναι ο μόνος λόγος που κλαις.

Γιατί θα έπρεπε οπωσδήποτε να ανακαλύψεις τον κόσμο;

Αν όχι για να αισθανθείς το απολύτως τίποτα μέσα σου; (Ποιος θα θάψει εσένα;)

Philosophy Wire: Burying the dead…

Was burial of the dead practiced by Neanderthals or is it an innovation specific to our species? Researchers have demonstrated, using a variety of criteria, that a Neanderthal child was buried, probably around 41,000 years ago, at the Ferrassie site (Dordogne, France). [1] But why would they do that? If they haven't sensed something more than the things they sensed? Why do the children laugh in the void? If not for things they see without their eyes? Look human. Yes, you are evolved. Yes, you are grown up. Surely you can see everything now. But this is not why you cry less. That is the only reason you do.

Why would you need to discover the cosmos anyway?

If not for your sensing of absolutely nothing inside?

Philosophy Wire: The world going blind…

Researchers say eye care accessibility around the globe isn't keeping up with an aging population, posing challenges for eye care professionals over the next 30 years. [1] Watching the world go blind. Not only due to bad eyesight. But mainly due to perfect eyesight. Humans seeing things. Believing them. Humans sensing the cosmos. Having blind faith in their ability to reach reality. But what is real is not something that you can see. If it was, then a child would see it. But the children laugh and play. The children love unconditionally. You were a kid once. Try to remember. When was the last time you laughed for no reason? Open your eyes. When was the last time you stared at the abyss without crying?
