Philosophy Wire: Workers agreeing to hard measures against them, economy as a regression...

Is money progress or regression? More and more indicate that the latter is true... [image source: http://sustainabletraditions.com/2010/07/life-without-money/]

Philosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2011-01-15]: Workers at a Fiat factory agreed with the company to harder labour conditions. In return, the company promised to invest money to that factory for the continuation of the cars production, which was threatened to be stopped in case they wouldn't reach to an agreement (source: http://news.in.gr/world/article/?aid=1231074598). When profit becomes the only element that is important, life itself goes to the background. Economy started as a tool, evolved to a "science" and has now become more significant than life it once used to serve. The return of men to the ways of the past and to (true) life, never looked so synonymous to "progress" which we all need so much right now...
