Philosophy Wire: Love the road. It is all you have.

Alzheimer's disease develops over decades. It begins with a fatal chain reaction in which masses of misfolded beta-amyloid proteins are produced that in the end literally flood the brain. Researchers now show that this chain reaction starts much earlier in mice than commonly assumed. [1] Long is the way to dementia. As long was the way to being born. Through aeons of inexistence. Through ages of nothingness. Here you are. Dancing. Laughing so as not to cry. Living to the full only because you are not dying. How soon did you reach home. How short was the road. (Who are these people crying?) No, I understand nothing. I am smiling. My child. Don't cry. (I was never better)
