Philosophy Wire: Neurons. Expanding. Patterns. Conquering…

Complex brain circuits in rodents can organize themselves with genetics playing only a secondary role, according to a new computer modelling study published in eLife. Scientists used computer modelling to determine how pattern of brain wiring could emerge without a precise genetic blueprint. Simulations showed that strong competition for space between nerve fibers originating from different whiskers can cause them to concentrate into whisker-specific clusters. [1] Neurons. Expanding everywhere. Blocked by other neurons. Expanding everywhere. At the end, complexity arises. Mapped to reality. At the end, we can see and hear. And we can understand the cosmos. Only because we are shaped by it. Grow. Learn. Expand to the whole cosmos. Conquer everything. And you will see. That there is nothing emptier than space itself. (How did your neurons map with nothingness?)
