Philosophy Wire: Muscle cells. Universe. Antinomies. Existence.

Engineers have grown the first functioning human muscle from non-muscle cells - skin cells reverted to their primordial stem cell state. The ability to start from cellular scratch using non-muscle tissue will allow scientists to grow far more muscle cells, provide an easier path to genome editing and cellular therapies, and develop individually tailored models of rare muscle diseases. [1] Muscle cells from skin cells. Life from non-living particles. Universe created from nothing. The greatest the scale the greatest the antinomy. The greatest the paradox, the easiest to believe and digest. But the universe is a weird place. There is order behind the chaos. We live in an irrational cosmos. And yet we know that it is logical. Think beyond what your limited logical perception dictates. And see that there is no deception at all. Nothing is full of something. Death is full of Life. Skin cells are essentially the same as muscle cells. Believe the irrational. And you will see that there are no antinomies at all. Moving that hand. In a lifeless body. Inside a dark universe. Laughing with death…
