Philosophy Wire: Naming things, Parmenides, existence…

[source: web news] We are obsessed with “naming” things! We HAVE to name them, to give credit to the Ideas of Plato which we cherish so much. By naming something we make it “exist”. And only what “exists” can “stop existing”. Maybe we should try to listen to Parmenides and the other pre-Socratic philosophers…
