Philosophy Wire: Who was voted as Person of the Year and who was finally selected
Philosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2010-12-24]: TIME magazine conducted a public voting to declare the Person of the Year (source: newspaper article). Even though the readers of the magazine voted Julian Assange as the person of the year, the editors of the magazine selected the founder of Facebook for that place! Voting does not have a place in the land of no-democracy...Why not choose the Cookie Monster? After all some years ago the same magazine chose Hitler as the Person of the Year (see Allies Trading with Hitler)...
