Philosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2011-07-25]: International news agencies refer to the Norwegian who admitted that he killed dozens of people, with phrases such as “ the suspect for the massacre in Oslo”… Nobody says publicly that he is the one who killed all those people because they “wait for the ruling of the Court”… Until then he will remain “the suspect”… Stupidity? Or blatant hypocrisy? Are we really so culturally developed that the only thing that was missing for us to be “complete” is to protect the dignity of a person who publicly admits that he planned and then killed dozens of people?
