Computers have already more circuits from the neurons of the human brain and in a much greater density. However nobody can claim that computers are "humans" (i.e. possess consciousness), although in many aspects of problem-solving have overcome us for years. Anyway Spiritualism in every philosophical system was always closer to non-Thinking rather than to the analytical thinking of today's science (which computers try to imitate). Articles of Harmonia Philosophica (see Harmonia Philosophica) have highlighted the importance of the Illogical in human progress and in the comprehension of the incomprehensible. And this is something we must always keep in mind. We become aware of our importance in this mysterious world we have been cast into only if close our eyes and look at the Universe in all its vastness and in its entire splendor. Not by solving problems or doing more calculations! Non-Thought is what liberates us from the cold world of dogmas and brings us closer to that invisible thing we everyday sense that is important, even though we fail to actually grasp it with our scientific methods…
Every time we try to understand something “logically” (with the definition most of us give to logic today) we come up with inconsistencies we cannot resolve. We think that something is either true or false, but we cannot even decide on the truthfulness of the proposition “This proposition is false” [see self-reference paradoxes in mathematics]… We think things change, but we cannot tell when something is “the same” [see the paradox of Theseus’ Ship]… We think that things are consisted of other things, but once we start splitting things into parts we wouldn’t know when to stop [see the infinite related paradoxes]… We think things start to exist at some point in time, but we do not even know what Is is (not to mention the fully artificial notion of “time”)… We base our exact sciences on things that can be measured, but the most important things in our personal life are immeasurable… We live to die. And our logic cannot understand that… We like Art for a mysterious reason. And our logic cannot understand that… We say that energy is conserved, that things can be and not-be at the same time (see quantum mechanics). But out “logic” tells us to believe that something can “die” and stop existing... Many times we see better if we close our eyes and yet we still trust our senses… We know logically that we cannot know everything (see Gödel’s Incompleteness Theorem), but yet we are everyday illogical and try to know the unknown…We know “logically” that we are just a sack of bones and blood, but deeply inside we know illogically that we are much different from a rock even though we cannot logically explain why. If we sit in the middle of a desert and close our eyes, we see that there is more than meets the eye…
From the (irrational) philosophy of Zen to the founder of irrationalism Nietzsche, from Dadaism (the irrational in Art) to Shestov (one of the most prominent supporters of the Irrational in philosophy), today’s philosophy has found its way away from the Rationality which proved to be too much overrated… We must stop giving names to things with no names and then think on those new entities WE have created. This thinking divides the cosmos into pieces. But the world is One. If we remove thought, what remains is intuition and the illogical. And these guide us to a world more unified and real than anything else…
