The scientific community is arguing that this is an unacceptable persecution of science. A new Holy Inquisition? Or maybe finally science has met what it should have meet many year ago: a just and fair treatment. When you claim that you can make “predictions”, isn’t it fair to be attacked when you do not deliver that “precision”? “But earthquakes cannot be predicted” someone might argue. Correct. But if this is the case, then maybe scientists shouldn’t be so eager to make public statements about there being no danger of an earthquake just two days before the earthquake.
