Philosophy Wire: Floods, humans and the (more important?) pets
Philosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2011-01-07]: Animal-welfare activists organizations (like RSPCA) are accusing the Australian authorities for not letting people take their pets with them when they are helping them evacuate areas affected by the recent catastrophic floods [1]. Another extremely irrelevant and bad-timing intervention of animal-loving organizations who have as their ultimate goal to struggle for the interests of mice when humans suffer. It is very good to love animals, to love pets or to love crocodiles. But when the latter are getting to eat humans after catastrophic floods, it is best for everyone to stop speaking and help (or at least let) the authorities do their job as fast as they can...
