Philosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2011-01-11]: A dog was found to be able to understand more than 1,000 words and to understand the difference between a noun and a verb [1] [2]. It is really astounding how some people are ready to use such (wonderful indeed) cases to argue in favour of the opinion that wants humans to be just another animal. If only we used the amazing abilities of some men/women to support the opinion that wants humans to be unique in many ways...
