Philosophy Wire: Black holes, the inexistence of Time, our illusions

Philosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2011-01-31]: Scientists found that time stops to exist at the boundaries of a black hole. A new research published in Proceedings of the Royal Society shows calculations concerning the exact moment when (when? are we sure?) time stands... "still" in mature black holes [source: Source 1 (gr), Source 2 (eng)]. The issue of time has always been a taboo for scientists and particularly the scientists in the West... Now, since Godel showed that time is an illusion (by solving the equations of Special Relativity he found that time is removed from the equations and therefore, does not exist - See Godel Universe), other scientists as well have begun to doubt for something which so long seemed so "obvious" (see http://discovermagazine.com/2007/jun/in-no-time). If time ceases to be "given", just imagine what other "obvious" things may not be as real as we think. After all, isn't the very notion of death and the concept of "change" based on the concept of "time" (see Harmonia Philosophica below)? Or is it the other way around?
