Philosophy Wire: 2010-11-01 Terrorism is about terroring. But terroring who exactly? Terrorism serves some goals. But which goals are these? Some versions of state philosophical theories call for ways to control citizens. Is that what is happening today? The "lucky" success stories of the Greek police are beginning to become far too many to be called "lucky" or "random". A bomb "randomly" exploding in the hands of terrorists is what happened just before the 2004 Olympic Games and that is what happened today, just days before the Greek prefectural elections. Isn't that what is happening in USA today? A number of "alarming" terrorist dangers have "suddenly" come up for Obama to face, just days before mid-term elections. Citizens always "need" something to fear about, don't they not?
