Philosophy Wire: 2010-11-07 Most Greeks decided not to go to vote today. Does that mean anything? The election percentages are calculated based on the count of people who actually went to vote, but can someone really ignore the fact that most people do not care for who is in power? When people are voting and feel disatisfied from all possible choices, they should choose to vote "Nothing". That "white vote" is what should show to politicians in Greece that something must change. But if those politicians do not take into account the fact that millions of Greeks who voted in the previous elections now did not come to vote at all, why would they even care for the "white votes"? Are we - in Greece - becoming something like the USA, where only 2 (almost the same) choices are "offered" to the people and where only a minor percentage of those people bother to go vote?
