Philosophy Wire: 2010-10-19 Greek authorities announced their plan to publish in the Internet financial data of Greek tax payers in order to put "social pressure" on people who do not pay their taxes! What is "personal data"? Do the financial data of a person belong to the state? Can the state publish data related to your personality? Data related to one's personality are protected by the state as the Constitution dictates, but who can protect us from the state itself?
